The words people type
The same handful of questions arrive in a dozen different phrasings. This page sorts them.
The three WTN mirror addresses

Set out flat, in the arrangement they were handed over, with nothing added. Nothing on this page marks one of them as the main one, because on this site that would be the one claim the studies are all arguing against. This reference opens none of them and measures nothing about them.
Why this page exists
Somebody looking for a WTN mirror and somebody looking for WeTheNorth mirrors are usually not asking the same thing, even though the wording is nearly identical. One of them has an address that stopped opening. The other has never had one and does not know how many there are supposed to be.
This page maps the phrasings onto the studies. It is a routing table, not an argument, and it makes no attempt to be clever about what anybody meant.
| Wording | What it usually means | Study |
|---|---|---|
| wtn mirror | Usually one address that did not open, and a reader looking for another. The useful thing to know first is how many of the set are affected. | One route quiet, two answering |
| wtn market mirrors | Usually somebody who wants the whole set rather than a single string, often to store it properly this time. | Keeping one and not the set |
| wethenorth mirror | Often a first encounter with the idea that a market has more than one address at all. | Three addresses can describe one market |
| wethenorth mirrors | Frequently a comparison question: which of them, and why are there several. | There is no correct address to open first |
| wtn market | Broad, and usually upstream of any address question. The plurality specific part of it starts with what the extra addresses are for. | What a second address actually buys you |
| wtn market url | Singular, which is itself the assumption worth examining. There is no single url and no principal one. | Treating one address as the real site |
| wtn market links | Plural, and usually a request for a list. What a list can and cannot carry is the thing to settle before using one. | What a list can and cannot prove |
| wtn onion | Often about the string itself: how to read it, what the opening characters mean, whether it looks right. | The head all three addresses share |
| wethenorth market url | Frequently typed by somebody comparing a string they have been given against one they already hold. | Mixing characters from two addresses |
| wtn mirror not working | One route failed. What that means depends entirely on whether the other two behave the same way. | What silence cannot tell you |
| wtn mirror list | A list has an age and an author, and both matter more than its length. | Reading the age of a list |
| which wethenorth mirror is best | A question with no answer, and the reasons it has no answer are more useful than an invented one would be. | Load time as a tiebreak, and where it fails |
| wtn mirror down | Down is the wrong word for what a reader can actually observe, which is silence from one direction. | The quiet that is on your side |
| wethenorth mirrors different | Two routes appearing to disagree, which has several ordinary explanations and one that matters. | When two addresses seem to disagree |
| new wtn market url | The word new is doing a lot of work and is rarely supported by anything. | A list longer than the set |
| verified wtn onion address | Verified is a word about a check somebody else performed, and its value depends entirely on what the check was. | What a list can and cannot prove |
The phrasings this site cannot help with
Anything about buying, paying, shipping, disputes, vendors, accounts or software belongs somewhere else. Those are real subjects and none of them is about having more than one address, which is the only thing written about here.
The test is the one on the method page: if the question would read exactly the same for a market with a single address, this is the wrong site for it.
If your wording is not above
The full index lists every study with the question it answers, which is usually a quicker way to find the right page than guessing at a phrasing. The eight sections are also a reasonable map: something failed goes to absence, something looks wrong goes to divergence, and something about which one to open goes to choosing.
